Cree announced on its official website a few days ago that the company and SemiLEDs have agreed to end the patent infringement lawsuit between the two parties.
As part of the settlement, SemiLEDs agreed to implement a ban that will take effect on October 1, 2012, prohibiting the import and sale of products that SemiLEDs have been accused by the defendant in the United States, and a one-time reimbursement of Cree for the damage caused in the past. The remaining claims of both parties will be abolished without harming the future rights protection rights, and other articles will not be made public.
