What is the EMI test standard?

At present, the relevant standards related to EMI testing are mainly: European regulations (EN55022), US regulations (FCC)

Related nouns:

Unintented radiation (UnintenTIonal): The product produces unwanted electromagnetic radiation that causes interference; such as: computers, LCDMonitor, DVD, television, projectors, etc.;

IntentTIonal: communication using radio waves;

FCC only tests EMI:

RE (radiation interference): test frequency range 30MHZ~1GHZ;

CE (power supply interference): test frequency range 150KHZ~30MHZ;

Electromagnetic interference

Main EMI test reference standards:

EU: EN55022 (EMI reference test standard); EN55024 (EMS reference test standard);

United States: FCC Part 15B (EMI Reference Test Standard);

Taiwan: CNS 13438 (EMI Reference Test Standard)

Second, the test

EMI test definition: Test the radiated interference intensity generated by the EUT of the test object, which is divided into two types: RE test and CE test.

1), RE test: Measure the radiation interference generated by the EUT, the test frequency range: 30MHZ~1GHZ.

Test method: refer to the relevant test standard EN55022 or other test standards;

Test distance and occasion: 10 meters measurement, in open occasions;

Test method: Measure the electromagnetic wave radiation generated by the EUT (30MHZ~1GHZ).

2), CE test: measuring the conducted radiation interference generated by the EUT, its test frequency range: 150K ~ 30MHZ.

Test method: refer to the relevant test standard EN55022 or other test standards;

Test Method 1: Measuring electromagnetic wave noise appears on the DA and AC movie ends of the EUT (150K~30MHZ);

Test method 2: Measure the radiation interference value (150K~30MHZ) appearing at the telecom port end.

Note: Because the RE test is an open test occasion, it is susceptible to interference from airborne FM (88MHZ~108MHZ) and mobile phone (900MHZ) noise;

Third, the test requirements

Detecting the radiation interference value by testing the EUT

1), FCC test requirements:

2), EN55022 test requirements:

a), conducted interference test standard

b) Common mode interference test standards:

c) Radiation interference test standards:
