According to the tender announcement, the centralized procurement involved 31 provinces and cities nationwide, with a procurement scale of approximately 207,000 base stations, for a total of 550,000 carrying fans. Since China Mobile currently has only about 300,000 TD-SCDMA base stations, and the number of TD-LTE base stations in this tender, plus the number of base stations previously tested by China Mobile, the network scale of TD-LTE will soon be the same as that of TD-LTE SCDMA is equivalent.

Huawei, ZTE and other manufacturers with large advantages in TD-SCDMA hope that China Mobile can upgrade in the F band. The advantages of these manufacturers in TD-SCDMA can be extended to TD-LTE, while Ericsson, Nokia Siemens and other international manufacturers It is hoped that the new D band will be built, which means that all manufacturers will compete on the same starting line.
With the launch of China Mobile's 200,000 TD-LTE base station bidding, it is one step closer to China's 4G license issuance.
At the China Telecom Terminal and Internet Industry Summit Forum held last weekend, Wang Xiaochu, chairman of China Telecom, stated that spectrum resources are a key resource restricting the development of the industry, and any operator's LTE will use a mixed network of multiple standards. "With FDD in the sparsely populated areas and TDD in the densely populated areas of the urban areas, China Telecom will adopt an integrated solution to meet the needs of all users."
This is Wang Xiaochu's first mention of a hybrid networking solution. At the previous general meeting of shareholders in Hong Kong, Wang Xiaochu just expressed his hope to get the FDD LTE license. If he cannot get the FDD LTE license, he would consider renting a 4G network from China Mobile.

Li Yong believes that although China Telecom and China Unicom favor the FDD LTE standard, the state has no intention to assign all the 190MHz spectrum in the 2.6G band to the TDD standard, or it is destined that the three major operators will all get the TD-LTE license.
