Before this lens went on the market, there were only three choices for the original 85mm portrait prime lens of Sony's FE bayonet. The FE 85mm f/1.4GM, which is first-class but expensive and heavy, is a little cheaper, but it is still the same size lens as other homes. The actual carrying volume of the lens is comparable to the Batis 85, except that the Batis 85 has a larger hood, creating a larger volume of illusion.

One of the two different places is the focus ring position and material. Batis is closer to the mirror tail and is made of rubber matt material. The FE85's focus ring is a metal thread and is closer to the front of the lens.
