Also preparing to force the EMC market, domestic manufacturers seem to go faster in the pace of EMC research and development and mass production.
The biggest feature of EMC is its high temperature resistance, which can work normally under the soldering foot of 105 °C. Based on this feature, the industry agrees that EMC is more advantageous for use on high-power devices that require high temperature resistance. From the domestic point of view, most of the manufacturers currently introducing EMC are still home to white light lighting factories. In the specific wattage and scope of EMC, the industry has its own views.

Getian Optoelectronics made several products two years ago, but the EMC bracket cost is at least 20% higher than the PCT, and some models are even higher. The price of the PCT bracket 3030 they introduced at the time was only half the price of the EMC bracket 3030. "Because of the material problem, the EMC bracket can never fall to the price level of the PCT." Zheng Xiantao, director of Getian Optoelectronics, said.
In addition to raw materials, if you use the public model, the competitive advantage is not very large. If you open a private model, you need at least several hundred thousand dollars, so there are fewer manufacturers to open the private model, everyone is still waiting. Attitude.
At the same time, some manufacturers in the market have begun to use the PPA stent process to produce EMC separate brackets, but the quality does not meet the corresponding standards. The molding process used by the manufacturers who value quality has produced flat-type EMC brackets. Because thermosetting materials cannot be recycled, there is basically no nozzle material, which leads to high prices.
Simaid, Tiandian chose to buy equipment to produce EMC brackets. It is estimated that the estimated price difference between EMC public model and PPA can be reduced from 2 times to 1.5 times.
Zhang Luhua said that they produced an EMC bracket with a power of 0.2W to 0.5W, which is only 10% higher than the ordinary PCT. But above the high wattage of 1W, EMC's advantages are more obvious. There are so many claims in the industry based on cost considerations.
Input and output are not proportional?
At present, the production of EMC brackets has to purchase EMC production lines. Most of the quotes in the industry are about 10 million. The price includes frame, semi-etching, electroplating and so on. However, some of these equipments may not be able to find people to make money. For example, molding equipment must be imported.
A deputy general manager of a packaging factory in Huazhong said to reporters that EMC must add a cutting line compared to ordinary packaging. Tiandu invested 50 million in this cutting line, and the production capacity can only reach one line of 150kk/month.
However, Zhang Luhua believes that EMC's initial investment is very large, but it is not a problem of cutting lines, but the equipment for stent molding is very expensive. In addition, he believes that domestic equipment cannot be used, so Schneider's equipment is all imported, he revealed that the purchase cost of a line is 20 million.
The above-mentioned vice president disagreed with Zhang Luhua's point of view. He believes that the domestic manufacturers of EMC packaging equipment will catch a lot, but the price will be much higher than the average packaging equipment. He believes that the equipment procurement cost of about 10 million is normal, but Schneider considers the good equipment quality.
Of course, if the packaging company wants to go to the EMC project, it can still consider the division of labor and cooperation. The part of the bracket is handed over to the professional bracket factory. The difficulty and cost may be much better, but it will be more troublesome to turn around. The bracket factory will also consider the cost, and now the amount of EMC brackets is not too large, they are also worried that the input and output will eventually be disproportionate.
Another problem must be pointed out, that is, the manufacturing process of the EMC package is significantly more difficult than the ordinary package, the emphasis is on the corresponding metal frame requires half etching, electroplating and compression molding, the process is very fine, and the fluidity of the EMC material is not Very good, it is very complicated to go to flash after molding, and EMC products need low temperature storage.
However, the industry has always believed that EMC's product technology has matured, and mainstream models on the market include 3030, 3020, 3014, 2016 and so on. However, due to the late introduction of domestic manufacturers, even the mass-produced products and Japan and Asia still have a certain gap.
Others believe that EMC may be a carrier for flip-chips, replacing the previous ceramic substrates. There is also a new stent form SMC on the market, which has better heat resistance and is regarded as an alternative to EMC, but it has not yet formed mass production.
