(1) When selecting a transformer, the rated transformer ratio of the voltage transformer is selected mainly according to the level of the measured voltage, that is, the rated voltage of the primary coil of the selected voltage transformer should be greater than the measured voltage.

(2) The measuring instrument used with the voltage transformer should be selected as a 100 volt AC voltmeter. For the convenience of reading, the disk voltmeter is usually scaled according to the rated voltage of the primary coil of the selected voltage transformer, and the required voltage transformer specifications are indicated on the meter. Therefore, when we choose this voltmeter, we must use the corresponding voltage transformer to use.

(3) The power consumed by the measuring instrument should not exceed the rated capacity of the voltage transformer, otherwise the transformer error will increase.

(4) The primary coil of the voltage transformer is connected in parallel with the circuit of the voltage to be measured, and its secondary coil is connected to the measuring instrument.

(5) The primary and secondary coils of the voltage transformer must be pressed to prevent accidental short-circuit accidents. The secondary coil of the voltage transformer is not allowed to be short-circuited, otherwise the transformer will burn out due to overheating.

(6) The secondary coil, the iron core and the outer casing of the voltage transformer should be grounded reliably, so that even when the winding insulation is damaged, the voltage of the secondary coil to the ground will not rise, and the former protects the body and Equipment safety.
