What is SOE signal, COS signal

SOE signal:

The sequence of events (resolution is no more than 2ms), the time of occurrence of the event (switch or protection action) is recorded in order, which is the sequence of events.

COS signal (non-SOE):

Remote signal displacement (without time stamp).

The SOE signal is sent after the time stamp is added to the station end . The non-SOE is sent directly to the primary station without adding the time stamp , and then the time stamp of the primary station is added after reaching the primary station.

The SOE record is the sequence of events. When the power equipment is remotely transposed, such as the switch position, the power protection device or the intelligent power meter will automatically record the displacement time, the cause of the displacement, and the corresponding telemetry value when the switch trips (eg Corresponding three-phase current, active power, etc.) form an SOE record for later analysis.

When the power equipment is subjected to remote signal displacement such as switch displacement, under normal circumstances, the power protection device will send back two kinds of information, one is SOE information and the other is non-SOE information . Non-SOE information (simple displacement signal 0 or 1) is immediately postback, and SOE information is post-issued. After the displacement occurs, the non-SOE information is immediately sent, and the power protection device automatically records the displacement time, the cause of the displacement, and the corresponding telemetry value when the switch trips , forming a SOE record, and the protection device automatically returns when idle. Send a SOE record.

The displacement information of non-SOE postbacks will be delayed due to the transmission delay to the server.

Question:

The current SOE signal and non-SOE in the substation integrated automation system are the same in terms of content, but there is a slight difference in time. Why is it not a SOE signal? As long as the SOE signal is not working? What is the difference between the two?
